As the evenings draw in and the temperature starts to drop, our beloved Merry Harriers gnomes are preparing for their annual hibernation. You may have spotted them lately in the Gnome Garden, busily tucking away their tools, brushing the last of the autumn leaves from their toadstool roofs, and sharing one final cuppa before their long winter rest.
Every year, as winter approaches, the gnomes retreat to their cosy hideaways beneath the flowerbeds and planters. It’s their time to dream up new adventures, garden ideas, and mischievous surprises for spring. Rumour has it they even hold a secret meeting to decide what quirky outfits they’ll wear next year!
While they snooze, you can still visit our Gnome Garden to see their little homes glowing softly under the lights — and maybe leave them a small gift or note of encouragement. After all, they’ve worked hard keeping an eye on the garden all year long!
Don’t worry — when the first snowdrops appear, they’ll be back out again, bright-eyed and ready to make visitors smile once more. Until then, let’s wish them a peaceful, snore-filled winter nap.
Before they go, why not pop into our gift shop to pick up a quirky new gnome or two for your own garden? We’ve got plenty of characters, cheeky faces, and gift ideas galore — perfect for adding a little Merry Harriers magic to your home this winter.
