To begin with, prune those roses before they start growing vigorously—cut back to outward-facing buds. This will make them bushier and result in plenty of flowers by summer. We have fresh stock available if you're interested.
Next, apply mulch—distribute bark or compost around the garden beds to suppress weeds and retain moisture. The soil is warming up, so apply it while the ground is still damp.
Alternatively, you might need to add some soil improver first, and now is the ideal time to do so.
Also plant summer bulbs like dahlias and glads once the frost has passed. Place them in sunny areas with some compost. They'll bloom spectacularly later. We offer a great selection.
And plant vegetables like peas, carrots, and lettuce directly. They're hardy and require little effort.
On a rainy day, consider growing some flowers or vegetables from seeds in pots. You don't need a greenhouse; a sunny window works just as well. We offer an excellent selection.
We also have early Potatoes in stock, and the perfect time to get them in.
You don't need a large garden; you can cultivate them in bags or large pots placed in a sunny area.
"Pop in—we've got everything you need, from seeds to secateurs.
